How to Master Your Track with AI
Use ShiMuv's AI mastering to get your mix streaming-ready with professional loudness, EQ and stereo width.
March 1, 2026
Mastering is the final step before distribution. It ensures your track sounds consistent across all playback systems and meets streaming platform loudness standards. ShiMuv's AI mastering handles this automatically.
Step 1: Export Your Mix
In the DAW, click Export and choose WAV (24-bit). This gives the mastering AI the most headroom to work with. Make sure your mix peaks around -3 to -6 dBFS — don't add a limiter on the master bus.
Step 2: Open AI Mastering
Go to AI Studio and select the Audio tab. Choose the AI Mastering model.
Step 3: Upload and Choose a Style
Upload your exported mix. Select a mastering style — options typically include Streaming (targets -14 LUFS for Spotify/Apple Music), Loud (club-ready), and Warm (vintage character). Click Master.
Step 4: Preview
Listen to the mastered version. A/B compare it with your original mix. The AI applies EQ, multiband compression, stereo widening and a transparent limiter. If you're not satisfied, try a different style.
Step 5: Download and Distribute
Download the mastered WAV file. It's now ready to upload to your distributor (DistroKid, TuneCore, etc.) and will sound professional on every platform.
