Privacy Policy

We collect information in the following ways:

• Account Information: Email address, username, password, and profile details
• Content Data: Audio recordings, vocal uploads, lyrics, and other creative content you submit
• Metadata: Song titles, descriptions, tags, timestamps, and project details
• Usage Data: Interactions with features, tools used, and activity patterns
• Device & Technical Data: Browser type, IP address, device type, operating system
• Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through third-party payment providers
• Connected Social Account Data: When you connect a YouTube or TikTok account, we receive limited profile data and authorization tokens from those platforms (see Section 5)

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Shimuv platform
• Enable music creation, audio processing, and AI-powered features
• Publish content to your connected YouTube or TikTok account when you request it
• Process subscriptions and payments
• Personalize user experience and recommendations
• Communicate important updates and service-related messages
• Conduct analytics and platform research
• Detect fraud, abuse, or policy violations
• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

Shimuv does not develop or train AI models.

Shimuv uses AI-powered systems from third-party providers to deliver music creation and audio processing features. These providers maintain and improve their own AI models. Shimuv does not build, train, or fine-tune artificial intelligence models.

When you use AI-powered features, your audio, lyrics, and metadata may be processed by third-party AI providers solely to perform the requested function.

• Music and backing track generation
• Audio analysis and stem separation
• MIDI creation and musical notation
• Real-time feature optimization

Your content is never used by Shimuv to train AI models.

Shimuv does not use, retain, or leverage your personal content for artificial intelligence model training, fine-tuning, or development. Any system improvements at Shimuv rely on aggregated, anonymized, or non-personal data, not on identifiable content you upload.

Third-party AI providers process your data according to their own privacy policies and data handling practices, which Shimuv carefully vets to ensure responsible use and protection of your information.

You retain full ownership of your original content. By using Shimuv, you consent to AI processing by third-party providers necessary to deliver the platform features you request. You may opt out of specific AI features while continuing to use the core platform.

We use trusted third-party service providers to operate, secure, and enhance the Shimuv platform. These providers process data only as necessary to perform their services on our behalf.

• Infrastructure hosting and deployment
• Authentication, database, and cloud storage
• Payment processing and billing
• Analytics and performance monitoring
• AI-powered audio processing
• Security, fraud prevention, and system integrity

All service providers act as data processors or service providers and are contractually obligated to protect personal data and comply with applicable privacy laws.

We may update or replace providers over time. Any new providers will be subject to protections consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Shimuv offers optional integrations that allow you to publish music videos and other content you create on Shimuv directly to your personal YouTube channel or TikTok account. These integrations are opt-in and only activate when you explicitly connect a social platform account from within Shimuv.

Your Control

You can disconnect either integration at any time from the corresponding Publish page within Shimuv. Disconnecting:

• Revokes Shimuv's ability to publish on your behalf
• Deletes the encrypted refresh token from our database
• Does not delete videos you've already published — those remain on your YouTube or TikTok account and must be removed from those platforms directly

You can also revoke Shimuv's access from your YouTube (via Google Account permissions) or TikTok account settings at any time, even without using Shimuv.

Data Retention

Refresh tokens and connection records are retained for as long as the integration is active. Upon disconnection, refresh tokens are deleted within 24 hours. Records of past publishes (video ID, timestamp, title) are retained as long as your Shimuv account is active and are deleted when your account is deleted.

What We Never Do

• We never use your YouTube or TikTok data for advertising or to build advertising profiles
• We never transfer your YouTube or TikTok data to third parties except as required to deliver the publishing service you request, or as legally required
• We never use data obtained through these integrations to train AI or machine-learning models
• We never access, read, or scan content on your YouTube or TikTok accounts beyond what's strictly necessary to display your connected account info and publish content you explicitly upload

To maintain a safe and lawful environment, Shimuv may automatically analyze uploaded content, including audio, lyrics, metadata, and user interactions, to detect prohibited, harmful, or illegal content.

This may include automated systems and limited human review for policy enforcement, user safety (including protection of minors), and legal compliance.

Content that violates our policies may be restricted, removed, or reported to authorities when required by law.

Shimuv is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

If we become aware that data from a child under 13 has been collected, we will promptly delete it.

Users under 18 may be subject to additional safeguards and feature limitations to promote safety and privacy.

Parents or guardians may contact us at privacy@shimuv.com with concerns.

We retain personal data while your account remains active. You may request deletion at any time.

• Account data is deleted within 30 days of request
• System backups may persist for up to 90 days
• Legal or regulatory obligations may require longer retention
• Anonymized and aggregated data may be retained indefinitely
• Social platform integration tokens are deleted within 24 hours of disconnection (see Section 5)

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Enable essential platform functionality
• Analyze usage and performance
• Remember preferences and settings

You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to opt out of certain uses.

We use encryption, access controls, secure authentication, and regular security reviews to protect personal data.

Authorization tokens for connected social platforms (YouTube, TikTok) are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM before being stored in our database.

Access is limited to authorized personnel and service providers.

No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email.
