How to Use the Voice Lab — Clone, Sing and Create Choirs

Record your voice, create a voice clone, generate speech, convert singing and build virtual choirs with ShiMuv's Voice Lab.

March 12, 2026

The Voice Lab lets you record your voice, create a clone, generate speech and singing, and even create virtual choirs — all from the browser.

Step 1: Record a Voice Sample

Open /voice-lab. Click the microphone button and record at least 10 seconds of clear speech. Speak naturally in a quiet environment. This sample is used to create your voice profile.

Step 2: Create Your Voice Profile

After recording, click Save Voice Profile. The AI analyses your voice and creates an embedding that captures your unique vocal characteristics. This profile is stored in your account and used for all future generations.

Step 3: Generate Speech (Text-to-Speech)

In the Script section, type any text and click Generate. The AI synthesizes speech using your cloned voice. Preview the audio and download it as a WAV file.

Step 4: Singing Voice Conversion

Record yourself singing (or upload a singing sample). Click Convert Singing. The AI applies your voice profile to the singing, producing a version that sounds like you but with the AI's processing. This is useful for auditioning melodies before committing to a full vocal take.

Step 5: Create a Virtual Choir

The Choir section lets you take your recorded vocal and multiply it. Choose a size — Small (3 voices), Choir (8 voices), or Worship (16+ voices). The AI generates slightly varied copies with natural timing and pitch differences, creating a realistic choir effect.

Download the choir audio and import it into the DAW to layer with your original recording.

AI Tools Connected to a Full Studio

The AI features you learned about in this tutorial are integrated into every part of ShiMuv. Generate an instrumental, import it into the DAW, record vocals over it, split reference tracks into stems, create a lipsync video with the vocal, edit everything together in the video editor, and publish. AI is not a standalone feature — it powers the entire creative workflow.

Everything You Need in One Platform

ShiMuv is not a tutorial site or a collection of tools. It is a complete music creation platform where independent artists write, produce, record, mix, master, create videos for, and publish their music — all from a single browser tab. Here is what is available to you:
